From North West Guyana to your kitchen table
Mahalia Arjoon-Purchase
I grew up in Guyana, surrounded by the wisdom of women who healed with food, with herbs, with prayer and with community. That ancestral knowledge lives in me, and it's the foundation of everything I do.
Today I'm a Holistic Menopause Coach, an award-winning caterer, and the author of Riding the Waves, the first perimenopause and menopause guide written specifically for Guyanese, Caribbean and Indigenous women.
My mission is simple: to make sure no midlife woman navigates this journey alone, confused, or without the support she deserves. Whether you are from the Caribbean, the Diaspora, or Somerset, if you are a woman in midlife who is ready to be truly seen and supported, you are welcome at this table.

What women are saying
"Mahalia's approach completely changed how I see my menopause journey. For the first time, I felt seen, as a Caribbean woman, as a mother, as myself. This isn't just coaching, it's healing."
Sandra T.
London, UK
"I was sceptical at first, I'm not Caribbean, I'm from Somerset! But Mahalia made me feel so welcome. Her knowledge is extraordinary and her warmth is unlike anything I've experienced with any health professional. I finally feel like myself again."
Claire W.
Somerset, UK
"Riding the Waves is the book I wish I'd had ten years ago. Every page felt like Mahalia was sitting across the table from me, speaking my language, understanding my culture. A gift."
